Services
Diagnostic, Assessment, & Auxiliary Services
Career Exploration
Explore a variety of jobs that match your interests and career goals by meeting people in your prospective field and job shadowing with assistance. You will also research the local job market to determine job titles, openings, and salaries in your desired fields.
Community-Based Assessment
Assess your unique strengths and abilities by working at a customized site for an average of 1-2 weeks. This is designed for people who have been out of the workforce or are otherwise unsure of their work-related capabilities.
Tutoring
Receive assistance with learning new materials for coursework and/or to pass an exam. Tutoring topics include Driver’s License, GED, and industry certifications such as STNA and PRAXIS exams.
Vocational Consultation & Evaluation
Determine a viable employment goal using tests, assessments, research, and other tools.
Bridge Support Services
Assistance with clothing and identification and help you research and prepare for any training you need to enter your job field as well as connect you with community resources.
Preparation for Job Searching
Job Seeking Skills Training
Discover useful techniques and skills for finding ideal and rewarding employment. Topics include how to market yourself, resume building, interviewing skills, and self-advocacy training.
Travel Training
One-on-one training to help you learn the public transportation system or local routes you can drive yourself.
Work Adjustment
Work at a community-based work site for a limited time (about four weeks) to develop specific skills needed to obtain or maintain employment, like stamina, timeliness, interpersonal relations, and work speed.
Activities of Daily Living
Training on taking care of yourself like keeping your body clean, hair tidy, and clothes appropriate for an interview or work environment.
School-Aged Experiences
Project SEARCH
A 9-month high school transition program that provides pre-employment training and education for individuals with disabilities. Project SEARCH is an international program model and Greenleaf leads the Job Coaching and Job Development services for local programs.
Summer Youth Work Experience
A five-week, group-based service teaching appropriate work behaviors and skills to youth with disabilities. Topics include work skills and soft skills like time management, development of career interests, and job-seeking skills - all while working as a trainee at one of our partner businesses gaining valuable experience and a paycheck!
Employment Search Programs
Job Development
We’ll help you find a successful employment situation. You will collaborate with your employment specialist to develop your career goals by combining your skills, interests, and employment requirements into an action-oriented plan. Using this plan, we will work together to find employment that meets your goals.
On-the-Job Supports // Job Coaching & Retention
A Job Coach supports your need to master required work skills once you are hired and will be present to help with on the job training or provide off-site services, per your request. A Job Retention Coach will check in with you and your employer (with your permission) to make sure everything is going well and you are set up for success.
Long-Term Follow Along
If you are interested in working in the community but think you will need long-term, possibly life-long, supports to do so, we are here to provide ongoing Job Coaching and Job Retention support for an extended time.
