New Program Launch: Empowering Employment

We’re thrilled to announce our dynamic lineup of programs designed to empower both participants and the community! Our two-hour weekly group sessions are perfect for those looking to connect and grow, with up to 6 participants per session.

These interactive meetings will take place both in our office and out in the community with our local non-profit partners.

For those who need a little extra support, we’re offering personalized one-on-one sessions to ensure everyone stays on track and meets their goals.

From Job Club and Life Skills to Financial Literacy, our sessions cover essential topics to help participants thrive in all aspects of life.

Coming soon, we will be offering weekly virtual sessions just for parents, providing education and support right from the comfort of home. And for our local businesses, we’re launching a three-session consultation series focusing on disability inclusion, hiring people with disabilities, and creating supportive workplaces. Get ready to connect, learn, and grow with us! For more information on the program or if you are interesting in receiving services please contact our Program Lead, Loren Lander, at llander@greenleafjts.com

Meet Our CEO Kristin Schaub, CRC

Kristin Schaub joined Greenleaf in October 1999. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree, summa cum laude, in Sociology from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Services from the Ohio State University. She is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Kristin has worked extensively in the Vocational Rehabilitation field, with experience and expertise in Vocational Evaluation, Community Based Assessment, Job Seeking Skills Training, Job Development, and Job Coaching. Kristin started her career as a Job Developer/Job Coach and most recently served Greenleaf as the Director of Operations.

Initially, she became interested in Vocational Rehabilitation through volunteer opportunities while at BGSU. She has found the most rewarding aspect of the work to be seeing people gain confidence and achieve things they never thought possible, all while encouraging and mentoring others along the way. This is truly an organization and a profession where staff and participants alike can “pay it forward.” Kristin lives in the Columbus area with her family, including the 4-legged variety, and is an avid runner and adventurer.

Summer Youth Ends and Project SEARCH Begins

This summer, 35 enthusiastic students dove into real-world work experiences through our Summer Youth Work Experience program, spreading their talents across job sites throughout Columbus and Licking County. Their dedication and growth were truly inspiring! As we wrap up this fantastic summer, we’re thrilled to kick off the new school year with 29 ambitious interns joining our Project SEARCH programs! These young people are ready to make a mark in the healthcare industry. We’re proud to announce that 12 interns will be heading to Dublin Methodist Hospital, 11 to Doctor’s West Hospital, and 6 to Licking Memorial Hospital. Here’s to a year of learning, growth, and endless possibilities!
