Q: What led you to reach out to OOD for services?
A: I was worried about how to find a job and how to find a job that fits my strengths and disabilities. The pandemic made it even harder to find a job so I was glad to have the support.
Q: Why is it important to you to have a job?
A: It’s important to be a part of society and be active. Being at home, not being active is not good for me. Being out and social is.
Q: How is getting/having a job going to change your life?
A: Meeting new people and gaining new experiences.
Q: What challenges or problems did you have to face to get your job?
A: I was shocked how hard it was to find a job because in my past job I was so successful and met all my careers goals for a very large liquor sales company. I assumed all companies would see me the same.
Q: How did Greenleaf help you with these challenges?
A: Leah helped me with my resume, prepping for interviews, finding what direction to go in and helped to identify when I needed to change directions.
Q: What advice would you give to others who are nervous about looking for a job and working?
A: Trust your Job Developer. Just do it and then take it one step at a time. Don’t rush.
