Full Interview Below:
Q:What led you to reach out to OOD for services?
A: I was referred to OOD from FCBDD for Career Exploration and Job Development Services after losing my job of many years due to Covid cutbacks.

Q:Why is it important to you to have a job?
A: I am a dependable person, like to keep busy, and I need to pay the bills.

Q: How is getting/having a job going to change your life?
A: I like to keep busy and having a job keeps me busy enough and become more assertive. By having a job, you learn to take care of things by yourself.

Q:What challenges or problems did you have to face to get your job?
A: My biggest challenges were some family and transportation issues. I found that you get to the point where you take care of them by calling and explaining your situation and asking for help. I am also learning to balance taking care of the house, paying bills and taking care of a family member, while having a job.

Q:How did Greenleaf help you with these challenges?
A: Greenleaf helped with the challenges by talking to the manager and being there for support. We are working as a team.

Q:What advice would you give to others who are nervous about looking for a job and working?
A: Be nice, friendly and polite. When you go to the interview, look nice, be presentable and have confidence in yourself. Stay in touch with your manager when things need to be changed.
