***FULL INTERVIEW BELOW***

Q: What led you to reach out to OOD for services?
A: Because of my disability and mom because I wanted help so I could grow as a person

Q: Why is it important to you to have a job?
A: To keep me fulfilled throughout the day- to gain money to save. To make new friends and have fun. I love to laugh and make jokes.

Q: What challenges or problems did you have to face to get your job?
A: I got turned down for a job. Filling out job applications was hard. Knowing how to answer interview questions was hard because I struggle with processing information.

Q: How did Greenleaf help you with these challenges?
A: Angie at Greenleaf encouraged me to work with mom and dad. She helped em fill out applications and practice interview questions and came with me to interviews.

Tammy respects my need for independence. She provides prompts to help me learn how to do my job tasks and with my break. She creates task lists for me. She teaches me new things. She treats me like I want to be treated and she is always encouraging me.

Q:What advice would you give to others who are nervous about looking for a job and working?
A: It’s Okay! You can do this! Encourage them about their school work. Its ok to be nervous. I felt the same way. I would suggest they get a job coach.
