Congratulations to our Participant of the Month: Amber!
Amber went through job development and got a job working at Goodwill. She has worked really hard since starting and all of her managers and coworkers have positive things to say about her work ethic and positive attitude. Amber says that if you’re looking for a job, “be patient and you’ll find a place that becomes a second home.”

Q:What led you to reach out to OOD for services?
A: I wanted help to jet a job
Q:Why is it important to you to have a job?
A: So I can be more independent
Q: How is getting/having a job going to change your life?
A: I make friends with my coworkers and can hang out outside of work and make money.
Q:What challenges or problems did you have to face to get your job?
A: I had issues at other jobs before I found this one.
Q:How did Greenleaf help you with these challenges?
A: My coach helped by showing me how to do the tasks and providing examples, not just bossing me around and telling me what to do.
Q:What advice would you give to others who are nervous about looking for a job and working?
A: Be patient and you’ll find a place that becomes a second home.
