Fundraising Committee and Subcommittees
Greenleaf’s Fundraising Committees help plan and support a variety of fundraising efforts, including events, donor outreach, and campaigns. Subcommittees focus on specific areas of fundraising such as logistics, donor relations, marketing, or in-kind donations.
Types of Work Involved:
- Attending regular committee or subcommittee meetings
- Assisting with planning and organizing fundraising events
- Reaching out to sponsors or community partners
- Helping with event setup, registration, and follow-up
- Supporting communications or promotional efforts (optional)
- Contributing ideas and helping implement fundraising strategies
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking dependable volunteers who are organized, collaborative, and comfortable working as part of a team. Experience with fundraising or event planning is helpful, but not required. A willingness to attend meetings and follow through on assigned tasks is most important.
Stakeholder Advisory Committee
Greenleaf’s Stakeholder Advisory Committee plays a crucial role in steering our programming toward achieving impactful results for our participants, particularly in fostering employment opportunities. This committee is instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with employers who are genuinely supportive of hiring and retaining persons with disabilities in their workforce.
Types of Work Involved:
- Participating in regular advisory meetings
- Contributing insights on improving employment outcomes for participants
- Facilitating connections between Greenleaf and potential employers or influential community members
- Advocating for inclusive hiring practices within various sectors
- Assisting in the development of employment strategies tailored to persons with disabilities
- Offering feedback on current programs and suggesting adjustments to meet employer and participant needs
Who We’re Looking For:
Ideal members of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee include community influencers with the capacity to hire or influence hiring decisions, transition coordinators from diverse work sectors (e.g., service industries, professional/corporate settings), and parents of persons with disabilities.
We value volunteers who are:
- Passionate about creating inclusive employment opportunities
- Proactive in leveraging their network to support Greenleaf’s mission
- Effective communicators, capable of fostering strong relationships between Greenleaf, participants, and employers
- Committed to attending meetings and actively participating in discussions
- Innovative thinkers, eager to contribute fresh ideas for enhancing employment supports for people with disabilities
