Our Staff


Maybe we are a bit biased, but we think our staff is the greatest in Central Ohio.

Our team members have extensive knowledge about recruiting and hiring. They also possess years of experience training and educating both job candidates and employers. But more importantly, our employees are amazing listeners.

From our front desk Administrative Assistant to our Founder and CEO, Jennifer Kuntz, everyone who works at Greenleaf Job Training Services genuinely cares about you and your success (we consider it a job requirement). Working with us, you will be paired with a staff member who spends time getting to know you, finding creative ways to help you achieve your goals, and making sure you feel at ease with the entire process.

Jennifer Kuntz

Jennifer Kuntz

Founder & Board Chair

Jennifer Kuntz is the Founder & Board Chair of Greenleaf JTS. Her strong vision of a better way to provide support to individuals with differing abilities compelled her to launch Greenleaf in 1995. Jennifer has participated in designing state-wide training programs for vocational professionals and has participated at Vocational Rehab Association annual conferences and other state-wide training programs making presentations related to the support of persons with disabilities. Jennifer’s mantra: Give a hungry person a fish and you’ve fed them for a day; teach them HOW to fish and you’ve fed them for a lifetime.

Kristin Schaub, CRC

Chief Executive Officer

Kristin Schaub joined Greenleaf in October 1999. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree, summa cum laude, in Sociology from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Services from the Ohio State University. She is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a board member of the Job Placement Division of the Ohio Rehabilitation Association. Kristin has worked extensively in the Vocational Rehabilitation field, with experience and expertise in Vocational Evaluation, Community Based Assessment, Job Seeking Skills Training, Job Development, and Job Coaching. Kristin previously served as the Director of Operations. We are happy to announce that as of 9/1/2020 Kristin is our Chief Executive Officer. Kristin initially became interested in Vocational Rehabilitation as a way to “help people.” However, she has found the most rewarding aspect to be seeing people gain confidence and achieve things they never thought possible, all while encouraging and mentoring others along the way. This is truly an agency and a profession where staff and consumers alike can “pay it forward.”

Kate began her career at Greenleaf in September of 2010 as a Job Developer. During her tenure at Greenleaf, she has also worked in Customized Employment, achieving A.C.R.E. Certification. She served as our Director of Program, overseeing all of the VR programs and personnel, including the Job Developers and Job Coaches. We are happy to announce that as of 9/1/2020 she is serving in the position of Chief Operations Officer. Her Personal Manifesto: "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Dan Woodburn, CESP

Training Manager

Daniel Woodburn began working with Greenleaf in July 2016. His prior experience in vocational rehabilitation includes two and a half years with Goodwill and two years with AmeriCorps at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Originally from North East Ohio, he studied philosophy and anthropology at Kent State University. Dan relocated to Central Ohio with his lovely wife and two boys. He has extensive Project SEARCH experience with Greenleaf, coaching at the Dublin Methodist Hospital Project SEARCH program and at our Adult Project SEARCH program at Eldorado Scioto Downs. When the program concluded in January of 2019, Dan joined the Project SEARCH program at Licking Memorial Hospital. In June of 2020 Dan was promoted to the position of Training Manager.

HR Manager

Christe Hendershot joined the Greenleaf team in February 2019 in the role of Human Resources Manager. Christe comes to Greenleaf with close to 40 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities. Christe began her career as a Direct Support Professional and her most recent position was Executive Director of a small adult day and residential services agency. Her passion has shifted to workforce development and teaching. Christe is also an Adjunct Instructor at Columbus State Community College. Christe is a Pennsylvania native. She received a B.S. in Rehabilitation Education from Penn State University and an M.ED from the University of Pittsburgh. She shares her home with mother and daughter mini Dachshunds, Daisy and Hazel. If it was possible she would have a house filled with Doxies!

Dave Appel

Job Coach

Dave Appel, Job Coach, joined Greenleaf September 1st, 2011. He is an educator with prior classroom teaching service in Columbus City Schools, Delaware Area Career Center, Fairfield County Educational Service Center, Worthington City Schools, and the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. In Columbus, Dave served as a classroom teacher providing classroom instruction for special needs students and as an Occupational Work Experience Coordinator, developing and coordinating job placements for high school students. At Delaware Area Career Center, he served as the Vocational Special Education Coordinator, providing student and classroom instruction support. In Fairfield County, Dave developed and coordinated two community-based training sites for students with multiple disabilities. Then in Worthington Schools, he served as a Job Training Coordinator where he developed and coordinated individualized student community based training opportunities. Lastly, working for the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio, Dave served as the instructor for the Project SEARCH Program based at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, assisting with the development of the program training sites with the Medical Center and the coordination of student training placements. A quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe that offers guidance for instruction and personal development: "Treat others as if they were what they ought to be and you help them become what they are capable of being."

Taren Boone

Employment Specialist

Taren Boone joined Greenleaf JTS in January of 2020. Taren is a Psychology graduate of Otterbein University. She has gained experience in greater Columbus school districts as a substitute teacher. Taren is passionate about topics related to mental wellness, social justice and activism and child welfare. She also enjoys activities that allow creativity; such as, painting, ceramics and makeup artistry.

MahLeah Cochran

MahLeah Cochran

Employment Specialist

MahLeah Cochran joined Greenleaf JTS in February 2020. She is a graduate of Hofstra University in Long Island, NY and is a native of Columbus, Ohio. She has worked as a case manager for various local mental health organizations as a CPST and QMHS for many years. MahLeah has also worked for and volunteered with many humanitarian organizations both locally and internationally. Currently, she has an art career as an Abstract Expressionist painter showing at art festivals and galleries across the city and nationwide. She is passionate about serving people and helping in her community.

Employment Specialist - Project SEARCH

Ryan Collins joined Greenleaf as an Employment Specialist in February 2018. Since then he has been trained in several aspects of the company and continues to want to learn more. He transferred to the Project SEARCH program at Dublin Methodist Hospital in 2018. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Capital University in 2016. Having held jobs ranging from the medical field to grocery retail all the way to non-profit work Ryan is well equipped to help any and all participants throughout their time with us.

Angie DeWitt

Angie DeWitt joined Greenleaf JTS in December 2019. She recently moved to Ohio from Missouri where she worked as a personal assistant for more than 20 years. Angie has a passion for serving people and helping out whenever she can. Her personal time is spent riding her two horses and training her dogs. She also enjoys working with different animal organizations to help rescue and rehab homeless or abused animals. Angie is very excited about her move to Ohio and looks forward to serving our local community.

Project SEARCH Employment Specialist

Tammy Elliott joined Greenleaf JTS in July 2016 as a Summer Job Coach at Giant Eagle and also joined the Project Search Team at Licking Memorial Hospital. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology emphasis being Child Development online through Kaplan University while balancing a full time job and caring for her home and family. For the past four years she has been substitute teaching for the Licking County Schools. “Life is about learning” is her motto and she often asks herself when put in a tough situation, "What can I learn from this experience to make myself a better person?" As a child the story of Helen Keller had a huge impact on her life, teaching her that any obstacle can be overcome with persistence and determination.

James Ellison

Jim lived most of his life in Clintonville where our office is located. He has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the Ohio State University and a graduate degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University. While in graduate school he published a peer reviewed article on the accessibility of websites for people with disabilities. Jim worked for Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities for 18 years (when it was called the Rehabilitation Services Commission). He spent two years with the Food Fort program with The Economic and Community Development Institute, helping to launch several successful food based businesses in Columbus. Jim co-founded Columbus Brew Adventures which was the first brewery tour company in Ohio. It was one of the highest rated attractions in Columbus for six years. Jim has been a freelance writer for two decades, his work includes countless articles, several websites and one book. He now enjoys using his wide ranging experience to help brainstorm career connections. While he has picked up a diverse range of skills as a jack of many trades, his best training has come from being a parent.

Buffy Fleece joined the Greenleaf team in the summer of 2015 as a Summer Youth Job Coach. She has a bachelor’s degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Spanish Education and a Masters in Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary. She grew up in the Columbus, Ohio area and has been a teacher/substitute teacher with Columbus City Schools since 2002. Buffy makes the job of being a mom to 4 great kids her priority but loves to fill in for us when needed as a Job Coach with the Summer Youth and Project Search Programs.

Betty Gensel joined Greenleaf JTS in August 2019. She comes with a Master's in Business Administration and many years experience as a Business Advisor with the Women's Business Center in Maine. Betty also managed a workforce development program for fourteen years, connecting potential employees with businesses looking for workers. The impact of a quality workforce on business success and sustainability drives her work to match motivated workers and businesses. One of her favorite quotes, "Sometimes we believe in people before they believe in themselves to help them build self-confidence." Betty had visited the Columbus area quite frequently before moving here to be near her family.

Bill Griffin

William (Bill) Griffin joined Greenleaf JTS in December 2019. Prior to joining Greenleaf, Bill was Founder and President of American Quality Consulting, L.L.C. based in Columbus. His firm specialized in business management systems development and certifications in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Previously Bill was Director of Quality Assurance Systems for Borden, Inc., in the industrial division. Prior to joining Borden in 1985, Bill was Director of Quality Systems for Samsonite Luggage Corporation. He is a certified quality systems auditor. Bill's interests include his family, especially his grandchildren, gardening, golf and reading history.

Betsy Hawkins joined Greenleaf in 2016 after having worked for the State of Ohio, DODD at the Columbus Developmental Center, a residential facility. She joined Greenleaf as an Employment Specialist, and became a Project SEARCH Employment Specialist for the 2017-2018 school year. She has returned to the VR department as an Employment Specialist. With a personal belief that there exists a job for everyone she wanted to redirect her efforts towards vocational rehabilitation. Ever since receiving a degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University, she recognized her passion and enthusiasm for working within the population of folks with disabilities.

Project SEARCH Employment Specialist

Melissa joined Greenleaf in May of 2015. She has served as a Job Coach, an Employment Specialist, and now as a Project SEARCH Employment Specialist. Prior to starting at Greenleaf, Melissa spent time raising her family. Once her children were off to college, she went back as well. After earning a BA in Social Work from Ohio Dominican University, Melissa began working for people with differing disabilities as a job coach to assist her consumers in gaining and keeping employment. In April of 2015, Melissa obtained her Social Work license in the State of Ohio. Melissa believes that everyone should be able to do anything they want in life regardless of their differences.

Project SEARCH Employment Specialist - contingent

Michelle Ireton, BSN, RN, started with Greenleaf in 2016 as a Job Coach for Project SEARCH at Dublin Methodist Hospital. Michelle is a graduate from The Ohio State University College of Nursing and was employed by Duke University Medical Center as a neurology and neuro-surgery nurse. While raising her family, Michelle was involved with many community volunteer projects regarding childhood education, public health, youth athletics and musical expression. Michelle also volunteered her services at The James Cancer Hospital and Dublin Methodist Hospital. Michelle is inspired by the following quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve…You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Sarah James joined Greenleaf Job Training Services in December of 2019 as an Accountant. For the last 7 years she has worked in various capacities for several local non-profits and freelanced intermittently, while primarily being a stay-at-home mom. Prior to making the decision to stay at home with her child, Sarah worked in Human Resources at a cancer treatment center in Virginia. In addition to her 8 years of Human Resources and Administration experience, Sarah also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wright State University.

Department Assistant

Joy Jones joined Greenleaf Job Training Services in October of 2016 as the new Department Assistant in the VR Programs Department. For the last 8 years she has been a stay-at-home mom to her 3 kids who keep her very busy. She worked with children in the evenings coaching gymnastics. Prior to staying home she worked at a handful of real estate title agencies. Over the course of 9 years she became very proficient in the title business performing everything from start to finish that was needed to close a transaction. Joy is excited to be back at work again after being away for so long!

Bette Miller

Employment Specialist

Bette Miller, Employment Specialist, joined Greenleaf JTS in June 2020 after nearly 12 years of assisting high school and adult vocational certification students with improving their English language, writing/punctuation, and communication skills used in the workplace. Bette has also worked as a student advisor, an office manager for a corporation specializing in ship repair, and a legal editor/proofreader. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts degree in Education from The Ohio State University. Bette is happy to be back in Columbus after living in various states around the country. At Greenleaf JTS Bette hopes to continue using the practice she started with her own three children and has used with many students through the years. She looks for individual strengths and interests in each person and builds upon those strengths and interests. In doing so, she hopes to help each of her Greenleaf clients to grow as a person and to find their best career fit.

Alison Moffit joined Greenleaf as a Job Coach in 2016. She has spent the past 16 years raising her two sons and providing day care for pre-school aged children. Alison has volunteered at the local elementary school since 2006 and in 2012 began volunteering at Dublin Methodist Hospital where she was introduced to Project SEARCH. Alison earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and spent six years working for an architecture firm in Wilmington DE before moving with her husband to the Columbus area.

Linda Parzero joined Greenleaf as a Summer Employment Specialist the summer of 2016. Linda has a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Spanish & Phys. Ed) from Malone College and a Master's Degree in School Counseling (k-12) from the University of Dayton. Linda taught Spanish and Physical Education for 10 years and was an elementary, middle & high school counselor for 23 years with Columbus City Schools before retirement. For the last four school years, she has worked as a Homework Help Associate for the Columbus Metropolitan Library- South High Street branch assisting students and their parents with homework and projects. She has joined the Project Search program at Doctors Hospital in 2018.

Linda Peters, CESP, joined Greenleaf Job Training Services in June 2012 as a Job Coach. Her background is in human resources and education. She holds a Bachelor degree with a Personalized Major in Human Resources/Employee Assistance Programs from Franklin University. Linda spent the previous ten years working with high school students with special needs. Her current favorite quote is by Brene Brown: "Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we'll ever do."

Lesly Poole joined Greenleaf JTS in May 2018 as a Direct Support Professional. Lesly is an Ohio native. Her post high school education includes Franklin University -Healthcare Management, Ohio Business College- Medical Assistant, American School of Technology- Medical Office Assistant. She was a Managing Cosmetologist for 15 years. She also worked in medical offices for 4 years and as a Home Health Supervisor of a group home that serves people with disabilities, with focus on the Autism Spectrum, for 5 years. Lesly’s hobbies include Ohio State football, gardening, shopping, volunteer at church to assist people with disabilities to attend. In addition she volunteers with Transition Ministry to serve those who have been displaced.

David Reynard joined Greenleaf JTS in September 2016 as a Van Driver. David spent six years serving in the Army, before studying Business at the Columbus State Community College. He then spent the next eighteen years on the Columbus Fire Dept. as a Firefighter/Paramedic. In December 2017, Dave was promoted to Lead Driver, and has since joined the team as an Employment Specialist.

Mary Trickett joined Greenleaf JTS as an In House Trainer in March 2011. Most recently, she was a Job Coach at the Doctors Hospital Project SEARCH program. She is semi-retired, serving Greenleaf in a contingent capacity. She had previously been Director of Education at a private Montessori School for 10 years, and worked with a wide range of student needs along with teachers, parents, and specialists in recognizing and assisting students by offering understanding and alternative means of furthering their education. Prior to that experience she had obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ohio State University in Family and Human Development. Mary has a strong belief in focusing on the positives in the people she works with and is rewarded with always finding inspiration through their stories and efforts to better their lives.

Leah Watkins, CESP, joined Greenleaf in November 2016 as an Employment Specialist. Her prior background consists of being an Activity Director at a local Nursing Facility and prior to that a Recreation Therapist at a Mental Health Hospital. Leah received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Therapy from Indiana State University. Leah and her husband moved to Columbus the beginning of 2015 and enjoy becoming familiar with the Columbus area. Leah enjoys helping people find something that gives them purpose in their life.

Brandie joined Greenleaf in September 2018 as an Accountant. In 2005, she graduated magna cum laude from the Ohio State University with Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. After spending over ten years working for “the man” in commercial real estate and insurance, Brandie felt called to move into an industry that focuses in improving the lives of members of the community. Brandie loves traveling and is on a quest to find the best cheeseburger in every city she visits. She is also passionate about social justice, music, reading, photography, and hiking.

Todd Williams

Todd Williams joined the Greenleaf JTS team in February of 2020 after spending over 20 years working in virtually every facet of the employment and recruitment industry. He began his career with a top national firm, building a productive full-cycle search and placement practice. Todd was then promoted to training manager and later launched his own firm. He eventually decided to bring his employment experience into the vocational rehabilitation field. Todd is a native of Grandview Heights and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Ohio University. He spent his early career as a news reporter and still does free-lance writing on the side. He enjoys expanding his horizons with new activities and adventures, and experiencing life with his two daughters.

Prudie Wray

Prudie Wray joined Greenleaf JTS in July of 2018. She comes to us with a Master's Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Christian Theological Seminary, Indiana. Prior to joining Greenleaf JTS, she worked several years as a Non-Medical Counselor to active duty military and their dependents. She says she sees her career in Social Services as a natural flow from when she first began work in Public Assistance then transitioned into Child Protective Services; from CPS to Family Preservation; Family Preservation to developing and administrating Healthy Families Johnson County, from which she transitioned to volunteering for the United States Peace Corps in Romania. Prudie moved to Ohio just 5 years ago to be near her family here where she enjoys the frequent company of 5 of her local grandchildren. She also travels to visit her family abroad as often as she is able.
